General[edit | edit source]

Euro League was a container league for up to four competitions - stand-alone but essentially grade-differentiated divisions - at its most prolific.

Known originally as iNET League (and sometimes as iNET Euro League), this community serviced league play for European players free from the frustrations of connecting to American servers for 4v4 matches.

As can best be determined from available information, iNET league started in 1998, loosely in tandem with Pro League's second season. The league boasted up to four leagues: Omega, Delta, Gamma & Epsilon, claiming premier, intermediate, amateur and entry-level focuses, respectively. Epsilon's position in the hierarchy is unclear but probably either vied with Gamma for third tier or may not have run concurrently, possibly being interchangeable with Gamma.

The change of name seemed to occur during the middle period of the league's life cycle (for a while not only were both names in use, but a composite of iNET Euro League would sometimes appear). By Season 05 - now with just a primary and secondary competition - it was referred to almost exclusively as Euro League.

There are no records to hand of any operations past Season 06, which aligns with the arrival of many (previously solely) Euro league teams into the larger Premier League community.

Participating Leagues[edit | edit source]

  • Euro Omega League - The league's premier competition. aka Euro League, Euro Pro League
  • Euro Delta League - The league's intermediate competition (short-lived).
  • Euro Gamma League - The league's entry-level competition. aka Euro Amateur League
  • Euro Epsilon League - With only one known season, entry-level or possibly casual competition in probably late 1998 or 1999
